Again I was thinking using this bed bug fogger by Hot Shot, a trusted name in home pesticide solutions, would at least have some effect on the bed bugs. But here’s what happened instead:
I bought this product and it was set off in my living room and my bedroom. The house was consequently locked for a week. When I came back, I sat down on my couch and was immediately attacked by bed bugs, lonely for being alone for a week, I assume.
I tried all 3 bottles, even eventually sprayed it directly on the bed bugs and made them extremely wet in this liquid but they were still alive and moving, I was getting suffocated in smell and it was grossing me out. The product says on the side of the box that it can be very harmful if absorbed through the skin. Not worth the risk, especially considering it doesn’t work!
This product seems to work much better on fleas than on bed bugs. Still the majority of ratings on Amazon for this product were the lowest rating you could get. I think it’s just a company making a profit on their existing success with roaches and their marketing might. Some people complained that this product made the fleas and bed bugs even more aggressive after using the product.
Bottom line: Never use a fogger for bed bugs – they will have zero impact – may even make issue worse by spreading bed bugs around when they scatter. Just read this article from Time Magazine where they say bed bug fogging just doesn’t work.
